What is Amazon miniTV?
Amazon launched an ad-supported streaming service within its shopping app. You can now watch videos and stream your favorites without downloading another app. The service was announced last week and will feature a wide range of web series, food, fashion, beauty, comedy shows, and more!
The video streaming option is in-built in the Amazon shopping app and, it will now be the single destination for payments, shopping, fresh groceries, and entertainment. At this rate, Amazon is going to become a single tap app for all your needs. One might never need another app on their phones.
Features
Users can avail free entertainment by opening Amazon India’s shopping app and access the miniTV section. However, miniTV is the second streaming service from Amazon after prime Video, based on paid subscriptions, coupled with the push of new content on its platform. The service is obtainable for free and available to only Android users at the moment. However, the service will soon be made available for iOS users. Amazon also plans to roll out the mobile web version of miniTV in the next few months.

Amazon’s miniTV will also feature content produced by large media productions like TVF and Pocket Aces. It features top comedians like Prajakta Koli, Amit Bhadana, Swagger Sharma, Elvish Yadav, Nishant Tanwar, Shruti Arjun Anand, Aakash Gupta, Ashish Chanchlani, Round2Hell, and Harsh Beniwal. Additionally, it will feature top food content by Gobble, Cook with Nisha, Kabita’s Kitchen, etc. It will also feature beauty gurus like Malvika Sitlani, Sejal Kumar, Prerna Chhabra, ShivShakti, and Jovita George. A competitor to Flipkart Video
Amazon’s Prime Video competes for Indian consumers with media conglomerate Netflix. Amazon’s miniTV is ready to serve as a competitor to Flipkart Video. The Walmart-owned company is Amazon’s strongest rival in India and launched its own free video streaming service: Flipkart Video, in 2019. Amazon plans to supersede them both, with its arsenal of over 40 shows and movies which will release under Amazon Video and Amazon miniTV this year.
