On Wednesday, Supermodel Kate Moss testified for Johnny Depp. Kate joined the trail via video conference and contrasted Heard’s claim that Depp shoved her down the stairs. Kate, Depp’s ex-girlfriend, admitted that she did fall down a flight of stairs while on vacation in Jamaica with Depp. However, the falling had no relation to Depp and he rather helped her get up.
“We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm and as I left the room I slid down the stairs. I hurt my back. And I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened to me and I was in pain. He came running back to help me, carried me to my room, and got me medical attention,” she explained.
Kate Moss denies the claims about Depp pushing her
When questioned if the 58-year-old Hollywood actor had ever shoved her down a flight of stairs whilst they were together, she admitted, “No, he never pushed me, kicked me, or pushed me down any stairs.”
Kate Moss had earlier spoken about how difficult her breakup with Johnny was. “There’s nobody that’s ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said, ‘What do I do?’, he’d tell me. And that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust,” she had said.
Heard mentioned that an alleged episode between Depp and her sister resembled her of another time when they were dating in the 1990s. This was when Moss’ name came up in the courtroom. On Wednesday, Moss testified as the first rebuttal witness. She’s also one of the case’s initial celebrity witnesses.
Elon Musk and James Franco were rumored to be testifying in support of Amber Heard at one point, but it was later confirmed that they would not be. The case will have its concluding statements on Friday, marking the end of the Depp-Heard defamation trial.
