BTS` Jin joins military service: Where will he go and what will he do?

BTS member Jin, better known as Kim Seok Jin, is prepared for his conscription into the military. The musician delighted his fans by debuting his new buzz cut on social media before enlisting in the South Korean army.

Jin posted pictures of himself on the Weverse fan group wearing his most recent military-approved attire. He chose to go with a buzz cut and was wearing just a black T-shirt.

Once his training is over, he will be deployed to the army’s front-line unit

The musician had disclosed in November that on December 13 he would enlist in the military. According to rumors, Jin would spend five weeks training at the recruit training facility in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. Once his training is over, he will be deployed to the army’s front-line unit.

For almost 18 months, Jin will serve in the military, and eventually, his bandmates RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will join him. The group won’t get together again until 2025 when everyone has finished their mandatory military service.

“Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army”

Regarding Jin’s military service, BigHit Music, the management organization for BTS, released a statement. And, the statement read, “Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.”

“The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts. We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back. Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time,” it ended.

Jin made his solo music debut in October, releasing the song “The Astronaut,” just before enlisting in the military.
