Late at night on Saturday, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez tied the knot in a drive-through chapel in Las Vegas. The marriage concludes nearly 2 decades of romance. With the headline “We did it,” Lopez announced their wedding on Sunday in her fan newsletter, “On the J Lo“. Similarly in April, Lopez first announced their engagement.
The couple boldly expressed their newfound love on social media after news of their reconciliation broke last year, sending fans into a frenzy. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” she wrote in a message. She had signed as Jennifer Lynn Affleck.

Sharing details of her wedding, she wrote, “Last night we flew to Vegas. Stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us, two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, was a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday. All of us wanting the same thing — for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”
The Little White Chapel, which has a drive-through “tunnel of love,” is where the pair were married after midnight on Saturday. The couple first connected in 2002 while working on the film Gigli. They became engaged in 2003 but called it quits the very next year, chastising “excessive media attention.” Lopez had several engagements throughout their separation, and she was also married to musician Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. She will be married for the fourth time. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner.
