In the upcoming Deadpool movie, Hugh Jackman will return to the character of Wolverine. On Twitter, he recently talked about his bulking phase and revealed his daily eating regimen with his followers. In order to prepare for the legendary part, he disclosed that he is eating six times every day. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will both appear in Deadpool 3; Jackman will make his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Two chicken burgers, black bass, Patagonia salmon, and two grass-fed sirloins are reportedly among Jackman’s meals. According to Variety, he consumes around 8000 calories daily and goes to great lengths to maintain his good looks. The article also stated that while Patagonia salmon has more than 2,100 calories, black bass has close to 2,000. He gets 2,000 calories from two chicken burgers and another 2200 from two grass-fed sirloins each day.

“Now I’m just eating and training”

An average person should consume between 2000 and 2500 calories per day to put this into context. And in order to portray a bodybuilder in Magazine Dreams, superstar Jonathan Majors consumed roughly 6,000 calories per day for four months. Back in January, Jackman told Stephen Colbert that he is getting used to consuming 5,000 calories every day in preparation for his role as Wolverine. At the time, Jackman said, “I’m building up. I’m on about 4,500-5,000 calories at the moment. I wore a heart rate monitor [for ‘The Music Man’] because my trainer said, ‘I need to know what I’m working with here because I’m trying to bulk you up’.”

“I burned 1,500 calories in the show, eight times a week. So she goes: ‘Oh, you gotta eat.’ So I was eating 4,500 calories a day, it was not pretty. Now I’m just eating and training,” Jackman added.
