The debut date is set for January 18, 2022

According to a report by Deadline, Sex, and the City star Kim Cattrall is a new addition to the cast. In the part of Duff’s Sophie in the future, who is telling her son the narrative of how she met his father. It is similar to how Josh Radnor (and Bob Saget’s) Ted Mosby did in the original series. Aside from Duff, the recurring cast also features Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes, and Josh Peck.

Speaking about the show, Duff says, “I am incredibly lucky in my career to play some wonderful characters. I’m certainly looking forward to taking on the role of Sophie. I’m a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother. I’m feeling the honor, however a little nervous. Carter and Craig would trust me with the sequel of their baby. Isaac and Elizabeth are brilliant, and I can’t wait to work alongside them and all of their genius. Just fangirling over here getting to join the Hulu Originals and 20th families. As a result, I realise these are big shoes to fill and I’m excited to slip my 6 ½’s in there.”
