The 75th Emmy Awards could be delayed due to the writers' strike

A lot of things will get impacted if the Writers Guild of America’s (WGA) strike continues as planned. The 75th Emmy Awards could be delayed due to the writers’ strike. The Television Academy is expected to move the show to November, while Fox wants the awards presentation to take place in January.

According to reports, as the Emmy Awards nominees are released today (July 12), the TV Academy will downplay the event date while mentioning it, which is scheduled for September 18. The network and TV Academy are both aware that they will not be able to achieve the September deadline.

75th Emmy Awards: Everyone in Hollywood is currently waiting and watching

Everyone in Hollywood is currently waiting and watching in the hopes that the WGA strike will soon come to an end. By the end of July, a decision should be made regarding the date and venue of this year’s Emmys. Since the Emmys are celebrating their historic 75th anniversary, they don’t intend to cancel the program, but Fox and the Academy have agreed to move up the event dates. Aside from the Primetime Emmys, there’s still the matter of when the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be held (currently slated for September 9 and 10). In addition, as the Primetime Emmys consider altering their schedule, the Daytime Emmys must choose when and where they will air on CBS, having been postponed from their planned June date.
