Gunn has joined DC Studios as a co-CEO, therefore he will be gone from the MCU for at least the next ten years. He debuted in the MCU with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ in 2014. The film depicted a rediscovered family of the galaxy’s most outcasts, two of whom were not even human, and one of whom was a robot. Despite this, the film became a tremendous hit and also impressed critics, thanks to his distinctive brand of humor, solid scripting, and a talented cast of actors and voice actors.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ was an even larger commercial success for him and Marvel Studios. Gunn grew up on a regular diet of comic books and has demonstrated an innate ability to build emotional storylines with a diverse cast of characters forgetting their differences and banding together for a shared cause.
As a result, excitement for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ is outrageously high.
The third installment of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ will be released on May 5, 2023.
