Legendary actress Madhuri Dixit is all set to make everyone fall in love with her all over again with her OTT debut. Netflix has released the trailer for the much-awaited series ‘The Fame Game’. The series will showcase the dark side of the glamour world. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli, the series is star-studded with the likes of brilliant actors like Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Mulay, and others.
Madhuri shared a peek into her character last month with the first poster. Thereby, introducing her character to the world, she had written, “Ajnabi si hai uski Duniya. Ankahi si hai uski Kahani. Par ab woh aa Rahi hai Apni Kahani lekar duniya ke samne.”
Not only this, creating the hype and increasing the excitement of the audience she introduced the theme of the series via Instagram post. Unveiling the theme, she captioned the post “Be it stardom or glamour, everything has a dark side to it. Know more about the flip side of fame in Bollywood star Anamika Anand’s life in the series The Fame Game.”

However, talking about the trailer, Anamika’s ‘imperfect’ life is illustrated through snatches of a gun being fired, emotional turmoil, and questionable family ties. Her shady secrets are gradually leaking out, disclosing a twisted life that she certainly may have been leading behind the mask of a celebrity. The trailer certainly manages to leave the audience on a cliffhanger with twists, turns, and turbulence. There’s more to more than what meets the eye. Fame Game? Or a Fam game? Only time will tell.

Spilling the beans on the resemblance between real life and reel life at the virtual trailer launch of the show, Madhuri said: “I play a superstar in the film and also have a husband and kids. But my real life is different from what you get to see in The Fame Game. I have been fortunate that I have worked with the best of filmmakers and co-actors. My family shares a much warmer relationship with me.”
The much-anticipated show was earlier known as ‘Finding Anamika’ but was later altered to ‘The Fame Game.’ Karan Johar notified the title change stating, “There is always a hidden truth behind the curtain of fame and stardom. What is this true in the life of Bollywood’s biggest star Anamika Anand? Know more soon.”
This is moreover the first scripted series by Karan Johar’s Dharma entertainment. The series will stream on Netflix on 25 February 2022.
