Gal Gadot, the star of Wonder Woman, recently had a conversation with Elle US about her new film Red Notice. She spoke of her presence in action films, and much more. She talked about how much she was shocked by Joss Whedon’s attitude towards her.
Gadot revealed after being casted in 2009’s Fast & Furious, she was constantly auditioning. Fortunately, the legendary part dropped into her lap just as she was about to give up. “People were craving her story. I am extremely grateful. This was my big break. If you look at it as a card game, my hand got better.
I was shaking trees, Gal Gadot says
In May, Gadot told Israel’s N12 News that Whedon “stated if I did something, he would ruin my career.” She informed the newspaper that she dealt with the matter “on the fly.” “Oh, I was shaking trees as soon as it happened. And I must say that the heads of Warner Brothers, they took care of it,” Gadot said. “… Going back to the sense of righteousness I have… you’re dizzy. You can’t believe this was just said to you. And if he says it to me, then obviously he says it to many other people.”
Gadot added, “I just did what I felt like I had to do. And it was to tell people that it’s not OK,” she continues. “I would’ve done the same thing, I think if I was a man. Would he tell me what he told me had I been a man? I don’t know. We’ll never know. But my sense of justice is very strong. I was in shock by the way that he spoke to me. Water under the bridge.”
Talking about her new film, she explained this part is from the rest of her roles. Gal said, “the agenda is not pure like some other characters I play. The part required a face-off with Dwayne Johnson. He’s a gigantic rock with the softest, sweetheart. It’s like butter from within,” Gadot joked.
