Matthew Perry, the star of ‘Friends,’ is planning to issue his autobiography in late 2022. He says it’s time for him to tell his own experience “straight from the horse’s mouth.”

The actor has stated he is preparing to release his own memoir, stating he believes it is time for him to tell his own experience “straight from the horse’s mouth,” reports femalefirst.co.uk. Speaking to PEOPLE, he told “There has been so much written about me by others in the past. I thought it was time people heard it directly from the horse’s mouth. In this case, the horse’s mouth is me.”

Deadline.com reports, Matthew Perry had inked a seven-figure deal with Macmillan’s Flatiron Books for the upcoming memoir. The publication’s title is yet to be determined. It will come out late next year. Megan Lynch, the publisher of Flatiron Books, will edit the autobiography, informs Deadline.

Meghan says, “We need humour, we need catharsis. We need to agree on something-and Matthew’s extraordinary story. Speaking his inimitable voice, is that thing. Matthew’s book has unrivaled potential to bring people together, which feels especially galvanizing right now, a time of isolation and division.”

It’s unclear how much of Perry’s life will be featured in his own book. Matthew spoke about the lasting legacy of the show, saying: “It was a character-driven funny, not timely funny. They didn’t make timely jokes. They didn’t make jokes about O.J. Simpson. They made character-driven jokes about people — and people are going to come back time and time again and watch that.”
