Arrests and Charges in Matthew Perry’s Death Investigation
As the investigation into Matthew Perry’s tragic death intensifies, five individuals have been arrested on charges linked to the administration of drugs that led to the sudden demise of the beloved “Friends” actor. Among the arrested are a local physician, Perry’s live-in assistant, and Erik Fleming, who is listed as Perry’s “acquaintance.” Fleming has been charged as a middleman in a deadly ketamine distribution scheme.
Erik Fleming: From Hollywood director to drug dealer
Erik Fleming, once a notable figure in Hollywood, has now found himself entangled in a drug scandal. Fleming coordinated with Perry’s assistant and Jasveen Sangha, infamously known as the “Ketamine Queen,” to facilitate the drug transactions.
According to the charges filed, “after discussing prices with [co-defendant Kenneth] Iwamasa, Fleming coordinated the drug sales with Sangha, and brought cash from Iwamasa to Sangha’s stash house in North Hollywood to buy vials of ketamine.”
Four days before Perry’s untimely death, on October 24, 2023, Fleming informed the assistant that the ketamine was “on its way to our girl,” referring to Sangha. Following Perry’s death, Fleming pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death. He admitted to distributing 50 vials of ketamine, with half of them being sold four days before Perry’s death. Fleming now faces up to 25 years in prison.
