Emmy Awards 2022 nominations

The Emmy Awards announced their nominations for the year 2022. With 25 nods, “Succession” has the most nominations this year at Emmy Awards. At 20 nominations apiece, “Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus” are slightly behind. Squid Game, a Korean drama, became the first non-English-language drama to be nominated for best drama. “Stranger Things” Season 4 received 13 Primetime Emmy nominations, including one for best drama series.

A record number of programs had been filed, according to Television Academy President Frank Scherma, who also noted that despite being significantly reduced during the pandemic, series production was at an all-time peak. The 2022 Emmy nominees were announced during a live broadcast ceremony at 11:30 a.m. ET by actor and comedian J.B. Smoove and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Melissa Fumero. The 74th Emmy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on September 12, 2022.
