Dune: Part Two is officially happening

Dune Part 2

Dune Part 2

Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed on Oct. 26 that there would indeed be a Dune: Part Two. It will premiere in October 2023. Frank Herbert’s Sci-fi novel has 2 parts. Part 1 has only managed to cover the first part.

The second picture, however, remained unknown until now, after the success of the first. Dune grossed $40.1 million in its first weekend in the United States after debuting in theatres and on HBO Max, and it has since grossed over $220 million worldwide. The confirmation of Dune: Part Two is great news for fans everywhere.

Herbert’s work had a reputation for being unfilmable: Alejandro Jodorowsky was unable to finish his Dune adaptation, and David Lynch’s 1984 film was a critical and commercial flop. Fortunately, Villeneuve’s version is stunning. The success is seen by the love film is getting.

What to expect from Part Two?

The journey of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) to become the messianic figure known as the Kwisatz Haderach will continue, as will the Harkonnens’ assault on the Fremen and Arrakis’ natural resources. We’ll also see more characters such as Chani (Zendaya) and Stilgar (Javier Bardem). Nothing is confirmed. There’s a good chance we’ll see the Emperor and Princess Irulan again in Dune: Part Two.
