2021 has been a fantastic year for DC Comics. With many threads from 2021’s books leading up to events that will take place in 2022. It’s time for DC fans to beam with joy because the DC Universe is a promising new wave of characters. DC Comics is coming up with 6 new comics to look forward to in 2022.

Batman Beyond Returns With Neo-Year And A Batman

White Knight Spin-Off: As the title suggests, Neo-Year will allow Terry McGinnis to become his own Batman. Independent of Bruce Wayne’s influence. Neo-Year, with writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing and artist Max Dunbar aims to provide longtime Batman Beyond fans with a self-reflective look at the character. Terry McGinnis is becoming an older character at this point. And this emotional new beginning for him in Infinite Frontier suggests that Neo-Year may provide him with the depth that fans have been waiting for. The first issue will be available on April 5th, 2022.

The Batman: White Knight universe offers an intriguing alternate take on a familiar story. Imagining a version of the Joker who was a good man at heart who succumbed to his worst impulses. Last year’s Batman: White Knight: Harley Quinn series demonstrated that this universe could provide new perspectives on her character. Leaving the door open for the same to happen with Terry McGinnis.

Trial of the Amazons will include Nubia and the Amazons, the main Wonder Woman title, and Wonder Woman: Adventures of Young Diana, bringing together writers Becky Cloonan, Michael Conrad, Vita Ayala, Stephanie Williams, Jolle Jones, and Jordie Bellaire. The first issue will be released on March 1st, followed by a Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl issue starring Yara Flor on March 22nd.
