Halle Berry was the first African American homecoming queen at Bedford High School. Berry was also a beauty queen. She began her career as a model and entered several beauty contests. Berry won Miss Teen All American and Miss Ohio. She also secured second place in the 1986 Miss USA competition.
Meryl Streep
The gorgeous Meryl Streep attended Bernards High School in New Jersey. She became the Homecoming Queen at her high school in 1967. Her high school friend described her as “very outgoing and extremely funny.” She also sang in the school choir. It was definitely the sign of a star in making.
Jessica Simpson
The singer, fashion designer, and now author, Jessica Simpson won the title of Homecoming Queen not once but twice. She was named Homecoming Princess in 1997 during her junior year at J.J. Pearce High School in Texas.
Dakota Fanning
Hannah Dakota Fanning came to the limelight at a very young age. She rose to fame at the age of seven for her performance as Lucy Dawson in the film I Am Sam. Fanning also received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination at eight. Already a star, Fanning won the title of Homecoming Queen in 2009 and 2010.

Tom DeLonge, the lead vocalist, and guitarist of the band Angels & Airwaves was a famous kid during his high school. His homecoming title is one of the greatest comeback stories of California’s Poway High School. He was expelled from the school during his junior year. DeLonge came back for his senior year and was voted homecoming king in the year 1993.

Rapper Eminem’s Daughter Hailie Scott became famous when she was a toddler. She was featured in a song. At 17, Scott was crowned Homecoming Queen of Chippewa Valley High School. Eminem also attended the event and watched the coronation from afar so as not to take the attention away from his daughter.

Sela Ward, the actress, author, and producer rose to fame as Teddy Reed in the drama series Sisters. She also received the Primetime Emmy Award for Lead Actress in 1994. She was always a star. During her high school days, she was a cheerleader and was also elected prom queen.
