Britney Spears confirmed on Monday that she is pregnant with Sam Asghari’s child. She is expecting her third child. Spears announced the news on her Instagram account.
She not only confirmed her pregnancy in the tweet, but she also referred to beau Sam Asghari as her ‘husband,’ fueling suspicion over whether the two had secretly married.
Spears explained how she first observed changes in her stomach and dismissed them as weight gain.
“So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby,” she posted.
The singer also said that she suffered depression during a prior pregnancy and that she now believes women can talk about their mental health while pregnant more openly.
“This time I will be doing yoga every day !!! Spreading lots of joy and love!!!” she wrote.
Spears protested in court in June 2021 that she was being banned from marrying or having additional children as part of her conservatorship lawsuit.
A judge ended her 13-year conservatorship in November, which had given her father, Jamie Spears, control over her personal life and $60 million inheritance.
Britney Spears is having her first child with Sam Asghari. Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, are Spears’ sons from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline.
