The month of December is jam-packed with major film releases. From Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ to the last season of ‘Money Heist,’ the Christmas season has a slew of huge films and shows set to hit theaters.

The Netflix film ‘Don’t Look Up’ will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley, Cate Blanchett, and also Meryl Streep. Tomer Sisley will direct it.

DiCaprio and Lawrence star as two low-level astronomers attempting to warn mankind about an oncoming comet that could destroy Earth via a media tour directed by Academy Award winner Adam McKay.

‘The Matrix Resurrections,’ Lana Wachowski’s long-awaited fourth film in the revolutionary saga that reinvented a genre, is almost here. The ensemble has reunited 18 years after the third film. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity. Jada Pinkett Smith reprising her role as Niobe. Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, and Jessica Yu Li Henwick will be joining the group as newcomers.

On the same day, the film will also release in theaters and on streaming platforms.

The Lost Daughter

Based on an Elena Ferrante novel, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut stars Olivia Colman as a woman enamored with another mother and daughter.

The much-anticipated Netflix show ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 starring Henry Cavill is due to premiere in December after a long wait. “Convinced that Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen,” according to the Netflix official synopsis.

West Side Story

The upcoming musical picture ‘West Side Story,’ directed by Steven Spielberg, is a recreation of the famous Broadway classic. It tells the story of Tony Wyzek (Ansel Elgort) and Maria Nunez (Rachel Zegler), two star-crossed youths who fall in love despite having ties to competing street gangs in 1950s New York City. ‘Being the Ricardos,’ directed by Aaron Sorkin, stars Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem. On December 21, the film will be released worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. On December 10, the film will also be released in theaters in the United Kingdom and the United States.

The film tells the story of Hollywood legend Lucille Ball and Cuban-American actor Desi Arnaz, who co-starred in the famous 1950s American sitcom ‘I Love Lucy.’

‘Emily In Paris’ season 2

The second season of Darren Star’s ‘Emily in Paris,’ is now available. It also became Netflix’s most-watched comedy series of 2020,

Collins’ Emily Cooper’s life in Paris will likewise become more complex in the forthcoming season. ‘The Power Of The Dog,’ starring Benedict Cumberbatch, is the next film in which Benedict plays a gay character. The film is based on Thomas Savage’s novel which also has the same name. The plot revolves around Phil Burbank (Benedict), an intimidating rancher, and his brother, George (Plemons).

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Releasing on: December 16

‘Spiderman: No Way Home,’ starring Tom Holland, will release a day early in India. The highly anticipated Marvel film will now release on the 16th of December in India and then on December 17 in the rest of the world.

Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man, with Zendaya as Mary Jane, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. John Favreau also returns as Happy Hogan. Benedict Wong is Wong from Doctor Strange. Spider: No way home is one of the most awaited December releases.
