Barbenheimer dominates Golden Globe 2024 nominations

Globe

Barbenheimer was one of 2023’s most significant cinematic moments. And it dominated the nomination list for the Golden Globe Awards 2024, which was announced on Monday by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Oppenheimer and Barbie dominated both the technical and acting categories. Both Christopher Nolan and Greta Gerwig were nominated for Best Director, and their films Oppenheimer and Barbie were nominated for Best Drama and Best Musical or Comedy, respectively.

The film’s leads also received acting nominations. While Cillian Murphy was nominated for Best Actor, Drama, Margot Robbie’s Barbie act earned her a nomination for Best Actress, Musical or Comedy.

Cedric the Entertainer and That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama announced this year’s nominees, one year after the ceremony’s voting body, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), improved diversity among its members.
