Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Petitions to Drop “Pitt” from Her Name
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has petitioned to remove “Pitt” from her name. The petition was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on her 18th birthday, May 27. Shiloh’s current full name is Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. She is the third-eldest of the couple’s six children.
Vivienne Jolie Drops “Pitt”
This move follows a similar action by their 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne. According to People, Vivienne’s name appeared as Vivienne Jolie in a poster for the new musical “The Outsiders,” omitting “Pitt.”
Zahara Jolie’s name change
Last November, the couple’s eldest daughter, Zahara, introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie during her induction into the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College, as shown in a video.
These name changes occur amidst ongoing reports of tension between Brad Pitt and his children since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce and sole physical custody in 2016. The divorce followed an incident on a private flight from France to Los Angeles in September 2016, which allegedly involved an altercation that included the children.
Brad Pitt has denied the allegations and was not charged by the FBI, which investigated the incident.
Dispute over French winery
The former couple is also embroiled in a legal battle over a French winery they once co-owned. In 2022, Brad Pitt sued Angelina Jolie’s company, Nouvel, for selling her share of the winery without his consent. In response, Jolie filed documents in a Los Angeles court, claiming she tried to sell the Miraval winery but negotiations failed after Pitt influenced her into signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that prohibited her from discussing Pitt’s alleged abuse outside of court.
