Amber Heard mentioned in her first interview following a Virginia jury verdict that she has no ill feelings toward her ex-husband. Depp had filed a multi-million dollar defamation suit against her after she authored an op-ed claiming she was a victim of domestic abuse. After a six-week-long trial and evaluation of the testimonies as well as evidence, the jury had given a verdict in favour of Depp.

When NBC host Savannah Guthrie asked if Amber still loved Johnny, she said, “Yes absolutely. I love him (Johnny Depp). I loved him with all my heart. And I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn’t.”

“I have no bad feelings or ill will towards him at all. I know that might be hard to understand or it might be really easy to understand if you’ve just ever loved anyone. It should be easy,” Amber Heard said. She further continued, “I testified to this. I am not a good victim, I get it. I am not a likeable victim. I am not a perfect victim. But when I testified I asked the jury to see me as human and here. His own words, which is a promise to do this, it seems as though he has.”

In the second portion of her two-part interview, Amber Heard made some recent remarks. The actress confessed that she and Depp were “awful to each other” and that she “made a lot of mistakes”. She also said that she believed that the ample portion of this trial was played out on social media sites and did speak of the hatred directed at her by supporters of Depp. Moreover, Amber was a frequent target of internet jokes and social media comments.
