Twitter blue a new paid feature

Twitter, the social media giant, is releasing a brand new paid feature called Twitter blue. New features and strategies, here’s everything about it.

The App Store lists Twitter Blue as an in-app purchase for $2.99 in the US and £2.49 in the UK. Twitter has not given any other details but, reports online claim that this will let users undo their tweets. We reckon that the pilot features will soon take off.

Special features of Twitter Blue

Tech blogger Jane Machun Wong claims to be the first paying user of Twitter blue. He claims that it contains an undo tweet feature and reader mode. The reader mode will make reading long threads easier. It will surely come in handy with all the resources and important messages shared on Twitter threads.

Twitter confirms “Twitter Blue”, which costs $2.99 per month by publicly including such In-App Purchase on the App Store

For testing, I’ve become the first paying Twitter Blue customer 😅

The feature will also have an option to favorite tweets and read them together. Saving and organizing them into collections will make them easier to find. What’s more? It is rumored to contain custom app icons and color schemes.

What more do we know so far?

In the past, Jack Dorsey, the co-founder of Twitter, confirmed that the new feature will not include the option to edit tweets. However, the undo option is probably an alternative option to this.

Twitter also confirmed that the new product will allow people to charge their followers for extra special content. This is similar to social media platforms like Patreon and OnlyFans that offer a subscription-based model for content creators. This feature is mostly going to be called ‘Super Follows’. The super tier content need not just tweets, they can be audio too!

Kayvon Beykpour, the company’s head of product development said that the new feature will roll out sometime this year. It is not clear but, it looks like the US market might get it first. Other features under the Twitter Blue subscription might include ad-free feed, higher quality video and audio, in-depth analytics, and Tweetdecks among others.
