Netflix-the top content platform is exploring a future online space with podcasts, playlists, and more. It is asking users’ opinions about Netflix N-Plus through surveys.
Netflix sent a survey to its users asking about a wider range of content and features including podcasts, how-tos, user-generated playlists, and more. Netflix plans to be an online space where you can learn more about the shows you love.
The Netflix N-Plus survey
The survey is a part of regular efforts to know the needs of its audience on things the company was exploring, said a Netflix spokesperson when contacted by Protocol. They added that they did not have anything else to share at the moment.
Netflix has always produced behind-the-scene tit-bits, podcasts, interviews, and social media posts to promote Netflix Originals. The survey only suggests that they plan to increase their efforts on promoting their originals.
About Netflix’s N-Plus
With N-Plus, Netflix plans let users create personal watchlists and share them with friends and family. It also extends to music, where users can create a playlist. It will allow its users to create playlists with the music from a TV show or movie.
The media company is also considering using N-Plus for TV show development. It asked users their opinion on using N-Plus to “learn about a planned show (pre-production) and influence its development with feedback before filming has finished.” It will also let them review shows and movies to help get recommendations from people with similar viewing likeness.
How will it work?
“You might get to N-Plus when you Google search for anything about a show or actors from a show you’re interested in, or you might find links to it in messages you get from Netflix, or there might be a link to it on pages inside the Netflix app,” the survey stated.
It is unclear if these features will make their way to N-Plus or if N-Plus will ever launch. But, we can see that it wants content to revolve around them. Since Netflix is creating several new worlds and fandoms, it is only a step ahead.
