COVID-19 Vaccine incentives

Serbia has a surplus of vaccines but is running low on the number of people who are willing to take the vaccine. Aleksandar Vučić, the president of Serbia announced that the country’s government would pay cash to people who were willing to get vaccinated. This incentive was a result of a dip in the number of signups for vaccination. So far, Serbia has vaccinated a total of 1.3 million i.e., 18 percent of its seven million population.

Israel became one of the first countries in the world to have successfully vaccinated its population. Israel’s ‘green pass’ proposal gave people benefits for immunization through vaccination or previous infection.
