Today, August 30, marks the 93rd birthday of investor Warren Buffett. He is ranked fifth on Forbes‘ list of the world’s wealthiest people. He is worth more than a hundred billion dollars. The American business billionaire, who now owns dozens of firms through his company, Berkshire Hathaway, began investing at the age of 11 when he purchased his first stock. Mr. Buffett filed his first ITR when he was 13 years old, and it has been a hard road for him since then. Here are a few intriguing facts about Warren Buffett as he gets another year older:

1. Rejection From Harvard Business School

While Mr Buffett today is an inspiration for investors and entrepreneurs around the globe, his application to Harvard Business School was rejected. He earned a Master’s in Economics from Columbia University.

2. Warren Buffet loves fast food

Buffett never skips his McDonald’s breakfast. While you might expect a billionaire to be fussy about his eating habits, Buffett has had his breakfast on his way to work for over five decades.

3. His long-lasting relationship with Coca-Cola

His fondness for fast food extends beyond the dinner table. The legendary investor has long held shares of Coca-Cola, which he purchased in 1988 for $3.25 a share.

4. Living in the same house since 1958

Since 1958, Warren Buffett has resided in the same residence. At the same time, billionaires around the world lavish on villas, holiday homes, and other assets; Mr Buffett still lives in the Omaha house he bought for $31,500.

5. Same office building since 1960

Since joining Berkshire Hathaway in the 1960s, he has worked in the same office building.

6. Used a simple Nokia phone for a long time

Long after smartphones were introduced to the market, the ace investor relied on a simple Nokia flip phone.

7. Uses low-cost cars

Another feature that distinguishes Buffett from other billionaires is his preference for low-cost vehicles rather the standard fancy machine. He prefers to buy cars at bargain prices, such as those damaged by hail.
