According to the New York Post, an Austrian company is developing a massive submersible luxury superyacht for “visionary billionaires.”
Migaloo has unveiled plans for what it describes as the ”world’s only private submersible superyacht,” offering ”a not-yet-existing alternative to large privately owned surface vessels.”
The submarine, named Migaloo M5 is capable of diving to a depth of 820 feet and staying submerged for four weeks
The submarine, named Migaloo M5, will be 165.8 meters long and 23 meters wide, with a range of approximately 15,000 kilometers. It can reach speeds of up to 20 knots on the surface and 12 knots underwater. The vessel is designed to accommodate 20 passengers and 40 crew members, capable of diving to a depth of 820 feet (250 meters) and staying submerged for four weeks.
Customization for customers is also available. Migaloo says, ”The wished dimensions of the submarine-yacht hybrid, the exterior styling, and the interior design are up to the owners’ preferences.”
According to the company’s website, the yacht will feature a helipad, a swimming pool and spa, a gym, an art gallery cinema, and a party area with a DJ booth. It will also offer ample space for lounging and dining. Optional extras will include a hot air balloon and an underwater shark-feeding station. The company has partnered with US security experts SAFE to provide a high level of protection, promising a level of protection that ”even James Bond would envy.”
