Elon Musk’s X, formally known as Twitter, has launched a new feature on its platform, ushering it into the world of professional networking. This is a huge step forward in challenging traditional job search platforms like LinkedIn. The business noted in its announcement of the new X Hiring Beta, “Unlock early access to the X Hiring Beta—exclusively for Verified Organizations. Along with the post, there was a link that directed the users to a sign-up page. “Sign up for early access to X Hiring, currently available for Verified Organizations. If eligible, we’ll enable the Hiring features on your account,” it said.
Early access for a limited time
This initiative is part of X’s efforts to broaden its products beyond the microblogging social media platform and develop it into a more comprehensive platform.
The Hiring tool is currently in beta development and allows verified organizations to publish job advertisements on their X profiles.
According to media reports, this feature is only available to premium membership holders.
According to sources, verified companies can use this function to get a competitive advantage by advertising employment openings on their X profiles for a monthly cost of $1,000.
The recruitment procedure has been streamlined
According to some sources, the hiring functionality will allow businesses to smoothly enter job data using compatible Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or through an XML feed. Although the current Hiring feature may not equal the breadth of capabilities offered by LinkedIn, it represents an interesting opportunity for businesses wishing to expand their recruitment efforts.
The strategic integration of X
According to industry insiders, this initiative is a strategic step toward transforming X into an “everything app.” This step reflects X’s desire to widen its influence and take on different responsibilities in the technology sector.
X recently purchased Laskie, its first acquisition since Elon Musk took over the microblogging site. Integrating Laskie’s knowledge could be critical in the development and implementation of the new Hiring feature.
Increased visibility
Companies with verified status will reportedly be able to display up to five job openings on their profiles, increasing their visibility to potential candidates. This feature seeks to streamline the recruitment process and provide an additional avenue for companies to connect with potential talent.
