Apple has made history by becoming the first brand to surpass $1 trillion in brand value, according to Kantar’s BrandZ global ranking. This marks a 15% increase from last year, securing Apple’s position as the world’s most valuable brand for the third consecutive year in 2024. Following Apple, Alphabet’s Google and Microsoft hold values of $753 billion and $713 billion, respectively.
AI innovations drive Apple’s growth
Earlier this week, Apple introduced new AI features aimed at boosting demand for iPhones and countering a recent sales decline. Varun Mishra, an analyst at Counterpoint, attributed Apple’s success to its consistent delivery of products, services, and messaging that resonate with consumers, creating a strong fan base.
Nvidia’s meteoric rise
Nvidia, with a market capitalization of $2.97 trillion, has seen its brand value nearly triple, making it the sixth most valuable brand globally. The AI chip powerhouse, led by CEO Jensen Huang, has entered Kantar’s top 10 most valuable brands for the first time, thanks to surging AI enthusiasm and chip demand. Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities highlighted Nvidia’s GPUs as crucial assets in the tech world.
Oracle joins the elite
Oracle, known for its AI-powered cloud services, debuted in Kantar’s top 10, ranking ninth with a brand value of $145 billion, a 58% increase from last year.
Kantar’s research encompassed over 4.3 million consumer interviews across 532 categories and 21,000 brands in 54 markets, providing a robust analysis of global brand value dynamics.
