Who is 14-year-old Kairan Quazi, the youngest employee at Elon Musk’s SpaceX

Kairan Quazi, a 14-year-old software developer, was just employed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX as the youngest employee in their spacecraft company. Quazi passed their “technically challenging, fun” interview procedure.

Quazi updated his LinkedIn profile with news of his new adventure with SpaceX.

Who is Kairan Quazi?

Quazi said that he will be joining the Starlink engineering team which he called the “coolest company on the planet”. The young genius described SpaceX as one of those “rare” businesses that did not use his age as an “arbitrary and out-of-date” yardstick for measuring aptitude and maturity.

In his LinkedIn post, Quazi said, “I will be joining the coolest company on the planet as a software engineer on the Starlink engineering team. One of the rare companies that did not use my age as an arbitrary and outdated proxy for maturity and ability.”

According to Quazi’s LinkedIn profile, he aspires to work on “challenging issues and encourage radical innovation in service of the common good.”

The 14-year-old child announced his accomplishment shortly before Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering graduation was due to take place. Kairan Quazi will once again make history at the institution as the school’s youngest graduate.

According to the LA Times, Quazi’s incredible journey began when he began speaking in entire sentences at the age of two.

Quazi, who was just nine years old, felt that the third-grade curriculum was too easy given his advanced understanding. At the age of 11, Quazi joined in the computer science and engineering course after receiving an internship as an AI research co-op fellow at Intel Labs a few months later.

The young genius intends to move with his mother from Pleasanton, California, to Redmond, Washington, in order to begin working for SpaceX, according to sources.

According to LinkedIn, the young prodigy spent four months as a machine learning intern at cyber intelligence company Blackbird.AI in 2022, where he assisted the team in developing an “anomaly detection statistical learning pipeline” to identify manipulated social media information.

Quazi enjoys reading science fiction tales by Philip K. Dick, playing video games like the Assassin’s Creed series, and watching documentaries by journalist Michael Lewis, focused on financial crises.

The 14-year-old used Instagram earlier this year to document his preparations for a “major” job interview. He posted a screenshot of the employment acceptance letter from SpaceX after a few weeks.
