Although it has been almost a week after it occurred, Mohbad’s death case continues to evolve, become more intricate, and frightening and remains an unsolved enigma that captures the attention of every interested and worried Nigerian.
The 27-year-old performer, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died earlier this week under unclear circumstances, sparking a surge of curiosity and alarm among fans and the music business.
Mohbad was laid to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Wednesday, but the circumstances of his death remain unknown.

On Thursday, the Lagos State Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, reiterated the commitment of law enforcement agencies to determining the facts surrounding Mohbad’s sad death. Mr. Hundeyin, who appeared on Daddy Freeze’s Instagram live show alongside singer and producer Samkelf, told the audience that they are willing to go the extra mile to find answers to this perplexing issue.
“That is because we don’t want to do hierarchy anymore. Bring it to Force headquarters to Lagos State command; it doesn’t matter. (Xanax) We are going to harmonize it within ourselves and ensure that justice is done,” the police spokesman said while fielding questions from Daddy Freeze.
Naira Marley, a Nigerian musician and rapper, has finally spoken out about the controversial murder of his former label signee.
On Friday, Naira Marley rushed to Instagram to express his tremendous grief and sorrow over the demise of his colleague.
“I am heartbroken by Mohbad’s death,” the Marlian Record label boss said in an emotional statement. He’ll be sorely missed.” Regardless of previous differences, Naira Marley stated unequivocally that he had no ill will toward Mohbad and categorically denied any role in the events that led to his death.
Naira Marley also expressed condolences to Mohbad’s bereaved family and called for a thorough investigation into the young artist’s unfortunate death.
