On Tuesday, Marvel released the latest trailer of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, its newest installment in the Ant-Man series. The movie follows the 2015 Ant-Man and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. It is going to serve as the starting point for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Five. Quantumania like its predecessor is a pivotal entry in the 30-set MCU. While Ant-Man and the Wasp were introducing fans to the life before Avengers: End Game, this movie is going to introduce the new villain for Marvel’s fifth phase.

Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan majors was first introduced in Loki, the Disney+ series. However, he will undergo major development over the next years and culminating with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Kang’s presence is prominent in the new trailer, tempting Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) with the promise of recovering the “lost time” with his daughter. Scott continues with Kang’s bidding and falls into his trance despite his friends warning him against the offer.

When compared to the previous Ant-Man movies, Quantumania has a much bigger scope and range. Peyton Reed, the director of the Ant-Man series revealed he asked Marvel to give more importance to the movie this time around. The trailer teases viewers with visuals of the Quantum Realm, expanded compared to its previous sightings.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is releasing in theatres across the world on February 17. Moreover, in addition to Kang the Conqueror, the movie is featuring returning actors such as Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas).
