What are the allegations Stormy Daniels is making?
Donald Trump could be charged for allegedly covering up hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels during his presidential campaigns. He took to Truth Social, his social media website to share that he was expecting his arrest on Tuesday and urged for protest by his supporters. Alvin Bragg, Manhattan District Attorney presented evidence to a New York jury on a $130,000 hush money settlement to Stormy Daniels. The payment was in exchange for Daniels to keep her silence about the alleged affair in 2006. Her real name is Stephanie Clifford.
Michael Cohen, Trump‘s then-lawyer is believed to have paid Clifford during the 2016 presidential campaign. As per a BBC report, the payment record was mentioned as “legal fees”. Hence, prosecutors may term this as Trump’s attempt at falsifying business records. In contrast, Trump has denied the affair that occurred after his marriage to Melania Trump, his current wife, and the birth of their son. Trump’s lawyers are accusing Clifford of extorting money.
