Tesla introduces a new electric quad bike for children in the US

Tesla introduces a new electric quad bike for children in the US for $1,900. Two years after introducing the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) alongside its pickup vehicle Cybertruck. According to the company’s website, the four-wheel ATV dubbed “Cyberquad for Kids” is inspired by the Cybertruck model and will begin shipping in 2-4 weeks. As per Tesla, the bike cannot be shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico.

Musk tweeted in 2019 that an electric ATV would be available as an option for Tesla’s much-anticipated and yet-to-be-launched Cybertruck, whose production has been hampered by supply chain issues. Cyberquad appears to be the type of toy car that children yearn for. The quad bike has an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) form factor inspired by the Cybertruck design. It has a full steel frame and cushioned seats, as well as an adjustable suspension for a comfortable ride. All of this is complemented by rear disc braking and LED light bars.

However the company’s website states, the new Cyberquad aims for children 8 years and up. The electric quad bike gets its power from a lithium-ion battery, which has a range of up to 15 miles (about 24 kilometers) and a top speed of 10 mph (about 16 kmph). The top speed can be configured, which certainly means that it can be limited by the parents if necessary. The Cyberquad has three-speed settings by default: 5mph (or 8 km), 10mph, and 5mph in reverse. According to Tesla, a full charge of the ATV for kids will take up to 5 hours. The range it provides after a charge is determined by the user’s weight and riding style.

Nonetheless, the price is not as appealing as the vehicle itself. The Cyberquad costs $1900. The astronomical price tag ensures that the Cyberquad is a premium offering rather than a standard children’s toy. Even though the website clearly states that orders for the Cyberquad “are not guaranteed to arrive before the holidays.”
