The “fire-breathing demon” dog Ralphie has found a fourth home, according to a Niagara animal shelter. A New York animal shelter’s description of the French bulldog as a “fire-breathing demon” dog propelled the canine into the public eye. The Niagara SPCA said on Friday that it had received more than 700 applications for the canine that appeared to be “unadoptable.” Ralphie was eventually adopted by Jason, a canine trainer who works for the Tennessee Department of Energy. Jason also owns a German shepherd, a Dachshund, and a second French bulldog.
Jason’s canines had a prior history of biting, exactly like Ralphie, making him the ideal candidate
Although the shelter had initially believed that this demon dog shouldn’t be around other dogs, it now claims that, following six weeks of training, Ralphie has overcome his reactivity. In addition, the SPCA claims that two of Jason’s canines had a prior history of biting, exactly like Ralphie, making him the ideal candidate.
Jason will “provide him with structure, and give him an outlet for all that Frenchie energy,” wrote the shelter. “He dedicates his life to dogs and that’s what makes him a perfect match for Ralphie.” Earlier, Ralphie shot to headlines after an animal shelter posted an ad for adoption, calling him “a fire-breathing demon” and “a terror in a somewhat small package.” He was soon adopted for a third time but was sent back as he “proved to be more” than his adopter could handle. Ralphie was then sent for a rigorous six-week boarding and training program.
For this demon dog, Jason has already created a Facebook and Instagram page so that his loved ones can follow his adventures in his new house. Additionally, he frequently shared updates about his life with Ralphie. The shelter posted on Facebook, “We wish our tiny, reformed terror all the best and we look forward to hearing about all of his adventures.”
