Queen Camilla gives a major update on King Charles as he returns to work

After King Charles resumed his royal duties this week, Queen Camilla revealed that she had been “trying to hold” the monarch back amid his ongoing cancer treatment. Speaking to the Chairman of In Kind Direct Teresa Tideman, the Queen stressed the King’s dedication to his work and mentioned that he was “thrilled” to resume his duties on Tuesday. When asked about Charles’s feelings over the past few months, she remarked, “I’ve been trying to hold him back.” The 75-year-old monarch returned to work after doctors noted progress in his health following his cancer diagnosis in February. Given Charles’s longstanding advocacy for Macmillan Cancer Support at University College Hospital for more than 20 years, his first visit after resuming duties was to a treatment facility in London on Tuesday.

Royal experts anticipate that King Charles III will raise awareness about the importance of early cancer diagnosis

The Queen accompanied him as she served as the head of the cancer support organization Maggie’s. During their visit, the royal pair interacted with patients and staff at the oncology center. Royal experts anticipate that King Charles III will raise awareness about the importance of early cancer diagnosis upon his return to royal duties. King Charles III, who has always held Kate Middleton in high regard as a valuable asset to the royal family and once referred to her as his beloved daughter-in-law, penned a heartfelt letter to those battling cancer, including Catherine. The 42-year-old Princess of Wales is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

In a joint statement, the royal family and Macmillan Cancer conveyed a message to individuals resuming work after a cancer diagnosis, stating, “As His Majesty The King returns to public-facing duties, we know many people with cancer will understand that choosing to return to work can be a complex decision and can mean very different things to different people.”

“It’s important to understand some people may still be going through treatment and are still dealing with its side effects. They may require adjustments at work,” the statement emphasized, adding that resuming work can assist individuals in re-establishing a routine and reconnecting with colleagues and friends.

Previously, Buckingham Palace conveyed good wishes to Princess Kate and other cancer patients, stating, “Wishing the very best to all those continuing cancer treatments on their path to recovery.” As Kate recuperates from her cancer treatment, royal experts believe the King’s message will serve as motivation for the future Queen to make a strong return to her royal duties.
