Prince Harry's new documentary hits rival streaming platform instead of Netflix

Prince Harry‘s highly anticipated documentary has made its way to Hulu, Netflix’s main competitor platform. Many are astonished by the move, given that Netflix reportedly signed a million-dollar deal with Prince Harry, but the documentary will now be available on the OTT platform’s competitor brand. The action has raised concerns, considering it is widely known that the Duke of Sussex has a five-year contract with Netflix. However, a new documentary on the Invictus Games has unexpectedly appeared on Disney-owned Hulu.

Prince Harry’s documentary debuts on Hulu

On Sunday, February 25th, Prince Harry’s documentary series Mission: Life, Family, and Invictus Games premiered on Hulu, a Disney-owned streaming platform.

Many people were startled by the release, given Prince Harry has a five-year deal with Netflix worth £80 million.

The circumstances surrounding the series’ emergence on Hulu raise questions about whether Netflix was aware of the distribution or if it approved the move.

What is Prince Harry’s documentary Invictus Games about?

Harry’s father, King Charles, has lately been diagnosed with cancer. The news led the Duke to make a brief trip to the United Kingdom, where he now only comes to see his family on occasion. Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, retired from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the United States.

The latest documentary focuses on Harry’s conversation with ABC News reporter Will Reeve after he visits the UK. During the interview, the Duke discussed his friends, family, and work. The documentary centers on Harry’s recent interview with ABC News during his tenure in Canada, leading up to an event scheduled for next year.

According to several media accounts, Harry may have been aware of and consented to the use of his interview with ABC News in a documentary style for Hulu. This follows prior speculation that the pair would look into other collaborations besides their current arrangement with Netflix.

The pair previously published a six-part Netflix series titled Harry & Meghan. The series centered on their humble beginnings, reign, and relocation to the United States with their two darling children, Lilibet and Archie.
