A video of the high-tech security dog patrolling the estate has gone viral, showing the robot navigating the grounds at a steady pace.
Equipped with surveillance technology
According to X user Collin Rugg, who shared the footage, the robotic dog is manufactured by Boston Dynamics and comes with advanced surveillance capabilities. The robotic dog reportedly has a large warning sign reading, “Do Not Pet,” indicating that it’s part of the security team rather than a novelty item.
Reuters also reported that the robot dog was first seen outside Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property following his election victory.
A spokesperson from the U.S. Secret Service told the New York Post that while specific capabilities couldn’t be discussed, the robotic dogs are equipped with various sensors and surveillance technology that enhance their protective functions. “Safeguarding the President-elect is a top priority,” the spokesperson added.
