Ball Drop

Special New Year’s Eve party packages with tickets ranging from $450 to $12,500 are being offered at hotels and restaurants near One Times Square, the site of the famed New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square.

Would you pay $450 to $12,500 for a ticket to see the ball drop in Times Square?

Many New Year’s Eve revelers, according to events entrepreneur Joshua Perla, are willing to spend that amount and even more to ring in 2024, including $12,500 for a luxurious couples package at the Marriott Marquis.

Special New Year’s Eve party packages are being offered at hotels and restaurants near One Times Square, the site of the famed New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square, with tickets ranging from $450 to $12,500. Tickets include food, drinks, and live entertainment, and some include views of the Big Ball.

Although watching the world-famous event from the sidewalks is free, others are paying for Times Square NYE party packages that provide a little extra luxury. Perla, the founder of events websites BallDrop.com and NewYears.com, said business for the 30 different Times Square packages has been brisk.

“We are seeing an uptick in the price consumers are spending on New Year’s Eve tickets that include a live view of the ball drop in Times Square,” Perla told Side Dish.

This includes the $650 per person seating at one of the two Applebee’s locations in Times Square, which will feature a menu that deviates from the fast-food chain’s standard fare of bottomless salad and pasta options.

These Times Square locations offer some of the most expensive ways to begin 2024

Olive Garden

When compared to other major restaurants and hotels, Olive Garden’s Times Square location is slightly more affordable option for those celebrating New Year’s Eve. Tickets cost $450 each, according to the event organiser’s website.

Bubba Gump

Bubba Gump is another restaurant chain with breathtaking views and prices. According to the restaurant’s website, the all-inclusive ticket costs $1,015. Live entertainment, party favors, a champagne toast, and a full buffet are all included in the admission price.

Knickerbocker

The Knickerbocker Hotel, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is throwing a swanky rooftop party only 150 feet from the Times Square Ball. Tickets range in price from $1,995 to $3,995, depending on the package, according to the hotel’s website.

Marriott Marquis Hotel

According to Ball Drop, the Marriott Marquis Hotel is offering New Year’s Eve packages ranging from $1,350 to $12,500.
