Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to launch two non-fiction series on Netflix

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally struck a deal with Netflix. After much back and forth, the couple has received approval for two new series with the OTT giant in the areas of gardening, cooking, and professional polo, among other things. There will be two nonfiction projects.

All about the two shows

These two shows are part of a larger agreement with the OTT platform. The agreement was inked with the company in 2020 under the Archewell Productions label.

Meghan Markle will be shown in the first series enjoying cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship. Leah Hariton from Selena + Chef will serve as showrunner, with Michael Steed as director.

The second series explores the world of professional polo. The series, which was filmed mostly at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, at the USPA National Polo Center, will delve into the sport, which is noted for its aesthetic and social setting. Prince Harry is a well-known polo player who has been pictured playing all around the world.

Miloš Balać will be the showrunner, while Prince Harry and Meghan will executive produce alongside Pysnik for Archewell Productions. Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma, and Dane Lillegard will executive produce for Boardwalk Pictures.

Both untitled series are in their early phases of production.

Meghan Markle recently introduced a new lifestyle brand

Meghan recently introduced a new lifestyle brand. She’s named it the American Riviera Orchard.

American Riviera Orchard appears to be an homage to Santa Barbara, the California town where Meghan and her husband Prince Harry live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The majority of locals refer to Santa Barbara as the “American Riviera.”

Meghan intends to expand into the home interior area with the brand, and sources indicate that a trademark application for the same is presently being reviewed. Once permitted, American Riviera Orchard will sell tableware, drinkware (including decanters), kitchen linens, and edible goodies like jellies, jams, marmalade, and spreads. The trademark application is also seeking approval for cookbooks.
