The two men were brought before the Bucharest Court of Appeal prosecutor, who issued a 24-hour detention order, according to the police.
The contentious influencer’s attorney stated that the court will decide on Tuesday whether or not to “execute the mandate”.
They said that the brothers were “dismayed and deeply troubled” by the arrest warrant, calling it a “bewildering revival of decade-old accusations”.
“They categorically reject all charges and express profound disappointment that such serious allegations are being resurrected without substantial new evidence,” the statement said.
“They are fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve.”

They are charged with abusing women through an adult content company that, according to the prosecution, functioned as a criminal organization.
In an indictment released in June, the brothers were named along with two female Romanian associates, and seven suspected victims were listed.
Tate has maintained that there is a plot to silence him and that Romanian prosecutors lack any evidence against him.
