All you need to know about the viral $3,130 sandwich bag from Louis Vuitton

Luxury fashion fans have seen their fair share of lavish designs, but Louis Vuitton’s latest offering has raised many eyes. The French fashion powerhouse, known for pushing the boundaries of design, has developed a Sandwich Bag made of cowhide leather at a whopping Rs 280,000 ($3,130). Pharrell Williams, Men’s Creative Director at Louis Vuitton, designed the avant-garde accessory, which was released on January 4. Williams elevated the banal to the exceptional by drawing inspiration from the simplicity of a typical paper sandwich bag.

The huge clutch is the same colour as the brand’s signature paper shopping bags and features the Louis Vuitton logo and the text “Maison Fondée En 1854”. The bag is more than simply a fashion statement; it demonstrates the brand’s ability to enhance everyday goods. The interior of the Louis Vuitton Sandwich Bag is 30 cm in length, 27 cm in height, and 17 cm in width. It includes a zipped pocket and a double flat pocket.

However, some online users are not pleased with the new LV bag’s style. Taking to social media to voice their thoughts on this fascinating creation, one person stated that it appeared “generated with AI,” while another joked, “It’s giving McDonald’s.” “Damn, y’all got Richie rich, luxury brown bag isn’t something I thought the world needed,” commented a third party. “Perfect for Joey Tribbiani,” added a fourth user. Meanwhile, several commended Louis Vuitton for elevating a common item into a high-fashion accessory. “Always find this stuff interesting to make everyday items like a paper bag into high fashion,” according to a post.

Not only is Louis Vuitton putting a unique spin on handbags, but Moschino has also shown off a range of bags that has caught the internet by storm, including a biker jacket replica and Barbie-inspired versions. In October, Balenciaga released a $1,800 clutch mimicking a Lay’s chips bag, while Saint Laurent offered a $1,890 vegetable-tanned leather Take-Away Box. Pharrell’s Sandwich Bag, retailing at $3,130, is simply following the same trend.
