Doe 36: Why is Bill Clinton mentioned over 50 times in court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse case?

Former US President Bill Clinton has been linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case in confidential court papers from 2015. These previously classified documents will be made public this week.

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, is accused of facilitating Virginia Giuffre’s sexual abuse. She claims Epstein and Maxwell forced her to have sexual encounters with celebrities such as Prince Andrew of Britain.

Clinton’s name appears more than fifty times in these papers. Giuffre’s lawyers attempted to persuade Clinton to discuss his connections with Epstein in 2016. But another judge, Robert Sweet, refused. Maxwell stated, Giuffre’s attempt to involve Clinton was a “transparent ploy” to increase “media exposure for her sensational stories,” according to the publication.

The papers also mention Maxwell and Giuffre attempting to get Epstein to answer questions in 2016, but Epstein refused, claiming it was his right. Despite these serious allegations, Clinton’s lawyers did not refuse to show these documents.

This all became public after Clinton flew to Africa on Epstein’s plane for a charity trip in 2002. Clinton stopped communicating with Epstein in 2005, before Epstein was charged with sexual assault. Epstein was arrested in 2019 for child molesting.

The unsealing of documents started on January 1, 2024.
